Twelve years on the circuit, and still booking

Twenty seven speaking credentials issued by conference organizers between June 2014 and March 2026, across Informa Connect, CBI, IIR and Q1, in every role I have held. Keynotes, moderated panels, workshops, chairing and full course leadership.

What I speak about

One argument, told five ways

Every talk comes back to the same claim: patient friction and revenue leakage are the same event, seen by two departments that rarely speak to each other. The frameworks below are the ways I have found to make that argument land with a room that contains both.

Patients + Profitability™

Better Access. Better Outcomes. Better Business.™ The sequence runs one way: profitability sustains innovation, innovation creates possibility, and access turns possibility into outcomes. Best suited to a mixed executive audience where Finance and Commercial are both in the room.

The 10 Exits of Therapy™

Diagnosis, provider access, prescription creation, enrollment, coverage, authorization, affordability, fulfillment, patient engagement, therapy initiation. Ten places a patient can leave, only three of which happen before a prescription exists.

The 5 Layers of GTN™

Clinical and Product, Access and Policy, Channel and Distribution, Affordability and Support, Financial and Reporting. Where a Gross-to-Net number is actually created, as opposed to where it becomes visible. The technical session, and the one that draws accounting audiences.

The Silent Leak™

Why a variance that surfaces in reporting was created three layers upstream, and why a finance-only analysis identifies the number without identifying the behavior that produced it. Includes the version where I built one myself and did not see it.

NextGen GTN™

The curriculum built to teach commercial and finance audiences the same map, so the two functions stop arguing from different datasets. Delivered as a four-part series and as full course leadership.

Build it for the room

Most engagements are not one of the above off the shelf. Tell me who is in the room, what decision they are facing, and which functions are represented, and the session gets built to that.

Start there

The frameworks above are my own work, published on PatrickRCoyle.com and NextGenGTN.com. They are offered as authorship statements rather than as independently validated taxonomies.

Formats

Five roles, and the record for each

Organizers have used me in every one of these. The counts come from the register below, so you can check them.

Speaker
A single session, usually forty five minutes, on one of the frameworks above or on a topic the organizer needs covered.

13 engagements
Moderator and speaker
Running a panel and contributing to it. The combination organizers ask for most often, because a moderator who knows the material can keep a panel from becoming four monologues.

10 engagements
Chairperson
Holding a full program together across a day or more, setting the through line and connecting sessions that would otherwise stand alone.

1 engagement
Workshop leader
A working session rather than a talk. The room leaves with something built, not with slides.

1 engagement
Course leader
Designing and leading a multi-part program under the organizer’s name. Next up in September 2026 with Informa Connect.

The record

Every engagement, dated

Twenty seven credentials issued by conference organizers, newest first, with the role held and the organization I was with at the time. Published in full rather than summarized, so an organizer can check it rather than take my word for it.

An underlined event name opens the write-up for that session. On a narrow screen, the table scrolls sideways.

The Gross-to-Net Accounting & Accruals Summit appears seven times and Life Sciences Accounting & Reporting six times. Repeat invitations across a change of employer are the part of this record I would point at first, because an organizer who invites you back is making a judgment about the room’s response rather than about your title.

Bringing me in

The most useful thing you can send is not a date. It is who is in the room, what decision they are facing, and which functions will be represented. That is what determines whether a session lands or just fills a slot.

Conference sessions, internal executive briefings, cross-functional workshops and multi-part course programs are all in scope. So is a panel you need chaired by someone who will have read the material.
